We partner with parents, from all over Northeast Ohio, to ensure their children access the resources, opportunities, and encouragement they need to fulfill their unlimited potential.
At the Schafer Center, we are committed to providing personalized support to each student and their family. Because our services involve significant time, care, and individualized attention, we are moving away from our current pricing model to a new tiered payment structure. Our new tiered payment structure is designed to ensure that cost is aligned with both the extent of services needed and a family’s ability to pay.
We are dedicated to making our expertise accessible and encourage families to contact us directly to learn what they can expect to pay based on their family’s financial means.
As always, to help families get started, we offer an initial call with one of our psychologists at no cost. This conversation allows us to learn more about a family’s needs and offer guidance on the next steps. Want to get started? We’re just a phone call away: 440.832.7850
Psychological Assessment Services
Students of all ages can struggle with the academic demands of school, but a psychoeducational evaluation can both determine if a learning disorder is present and connect you to the resources that will help! Our licensed clinical psychologists help parents better understand their child’s strengths and challenges, empowering them to advocate for the interventions and accommodations essential to success.
ADHD Screenings
We’ll help you determine whether your child’s challenges are best explained by ADHD or other conditions related to medical history or environment.
Reading Screenings
We can accurately identify risk for dyslexia in just 20 minutes using the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-4): Dyslexia Index. This screening measures the development of phonological/phonemic skills, letter and letter-sound knowledge, and single word reading to screen for dyslexia and identify students who may benefit from a comprehensive evaluation or a more intensive intervention approach.
Tutoring Services for Dyslexia and Other Learning Differences
Our multisensory tutoring techniques are rooted in Orton-Gillingham principles and complement common school interventions, such as: The Wilson Reading System. Students in grades K-6 from all over Northeast Ohio attend weeknight and weekend sessions for reading, writing, or math at our convenient Broadview Heights location.
